Apple claimed to have made a promising start with the sales of iPhone X till end of 2017, but the demand has been subdue ever since. And this development is likely to force Apple to discontinuing the sales of iPhone X in 2018, once the new models show up in the market.
Such a sensationalist claim has been made by analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, in a recently published investor note. The details of the said note have been reported by Apple Insider, who were led to believe that iPhone X sales estimates are going to be as high as expected before.

In addition to that, Kuo also said that Apple is expected to sell around 18 million units of iPhone X in the first quarter of 2018.
According to him, iPhone X has failed to light up demand in a market like China, with many uncertain about the ‘notch’ on top of the screen of iPhone X, which has forced buyers to switch their attention to the iPhone 8 Plus instead.
While Ming’s prediction are well sought out in the market, one need not be surprised to see Apple discontinuing iPhone X after its annual launch of 2018 version of iPhone. After all, iPhone X was supposed to be a special edition which marked its tenth anniversary ever since Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone in 2007.
