Redington will offer the Apple iPhone SE from 8 April in its 3000 retail outlets across the country. In India, Apple products are sold via resellers and distributors as there are no Apple stores in the country.
Update: Ingram Micro, the Apple distributor in India has also confirmed the availability of iPhone SE in the market from April 8 onwards. In all probability, it will be the 16GB model priced at Rs 39,000.
Apple launched the iPhone SE (Special Edition) at their headquarters in Cupertino on 21 March. The phone looks like the iPhone 5s but uses the hardware of the new iPhones.
Apple says that it’s the most powerful iPhone till date. In India, the iPhone SE 16GB version will start at Rs 39,000.
Initially, Apple said that the phone will be priced at Rs 30,000 in India which was later revised to Rs 39,000.
That is almost Rs 11,000 more than the $399 (approx Rs 27,930) price tag in the US.
