Apple’s latest series of iPhone is coming to India sooner than we expected. Both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be available in India from 7 October.

Apple proudly showcased 10 new features in their latest flagship. These are the first iPhones to offer water and dust resistance, finally matching up to Samsung Galaxy S7 at the flagship level. But the most significant change with the iPhone 7 is the omission of 3.5-mm audio jack.

Apple is using lightning port to play audio via brand new earpods and also debuted wireless Airpods that will launch in India for Rs 15,400.

Apple also announced that the pricing of iPhone 7 is similar to that of iPhone 6S, but with double the storage in the new phones lining up at 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.

The iPhone 7 is now equipped with 12-megapixel camera but a wider f/1.8 aperture helps the phone take better low-light images, claims Apple.

The phone is also expected to last longer, albeit just a couple of hours more than the iPhone 6S. Now that we know the iPhone 7 series will be priced from Rs 60,000 onwards, it will be interesting to see as to how high will the 256GB variant cost, definitely close to a lakh.
