Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in June, had said that two of the 2020 Apple iPhone models will come with 5G.
In a follow-up to the previous report, Kuo has now said that all three 2020 iPhone models will support 5G, as per MacRumors.
Now, he says that after the Intel modem business acquisition, Apple can now allocate more resources to support 5G on more models. Apple will also see 5G as a required feature, since Android phones worth about $350 will have 5G connectivity and Apple will have to compete.
Also, iPhone’s are naturally premium priced models and by 2020, 5G will be a necessary bullet point for buyers to invest their money. Apart from that, 5G might also be a requirement for Apple to continue its exclusive carrier subsidies.
