Airtel will now allow users to carry forward unused internet data to their next billing cycle. Yes, you read that right. With the move, Airtel is now the first telecom company in India to give its users this option.
Airtel postpaid customers will be able to avail the offer from 1 August. Customers also have the option of sharing data across all connections with members of their family.
The company has been on a free data spree, offering up to 30GB data over three months in an attempt to take on rival Reliance Jio by offering more data without significantly bringing down the price.
While many of us expected Airtel to announce its roll of VoLTE services in the country, the telco has instead, focused on making lives easier for its users.
It’ll be interesting to see if Vodafone and Idea follow suit.
