The iPhone must be the only gizmo on the planet that has suffered more leaks than the Titanic.
Only a couple of days remain for the launch of the most anticipated smartphone of the year and we have yet another rumour flying around as to what the new iPhones will be called.
According to a latest leak by Steve T-S, the leaked firmware coding for iOS 11 revealed the names of the three phones Apple is due to launch on 12 September in Cupertino.
The latest leaked iOS 11 firmware shows the names of the Apple devices as iPhone 8 and iPhone X in the code. Seeing the trend, it’s safe to assume that the bigger iPhone will be called the iPhone 8 Plus.
Being the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, the name ‘X’ seems to be in tune.
The leaked firmware also gives a peek into the features that the new phone will sport. Some of the features include a new portrait lighting mode in the camera. The new mode could be bundled with a lot more tweaks to make the photography experience better.
If you remember last year Apple had introduced the True Tone display on the 9.7-inch iPad. According to the leak, the same could be introduced on the new iPhone X.
We were also talking a lot about the Touch ID being taken off, right? The new leaked iOS Face ID setup animation suggests the same. You will be unlocking the new iPhone with your face.
The launch is set for 12 September and we will get you all the live updates from the event. Stay tuned.
