Good news for KTM fanboys around the world! KTM has announced the European pricing for the new KTM Duke 790. The naked motorcycle was unveiled at EICMA 2017 and is currently one of the most sought after middleweight performer to hit the market.
The KTM Duke 790 has been priced at 8,499 British Pounds. That’s around Rs 7.37 lakh for “The Scalpel”.
The new KTM has a very distinct design with split headlights and sharper bodywork. The icing on the cake is the TFT-LCD dashboard.
The new KTM 790 comes with a 799 cc parallel-twin engine called the LC8 mated with a 6-speed transmission gearbox. It comes with electronic fuel injection and is capable of pumping out maximum power of 105 bhp and 86 Nm of torque.
It’s all about performance with this one, as with power you get a lot of utility – thanks to launch control, cornering ABS and bi-directional quick shifter. It also comes with a 43mm upside down WP forks on the front and monoshock on the rear.
What really accentuates the performance is the 169 kgs kerb weight.
Currently, India manufactures its KTM bikes in the Chakan plant in Maharashtra. The KTM 125 Duke, 200 Duke, and 390 Duke are what India get. Surprisingly, there hasn’t been a higher capacity bike in the offering up until now.
With the launch of the KTM 790, at least Indian motorcycle enthusiasts can be hopeful of it’s arrival soon – and that too at a price tag that is extremely competitive in this segment.
