Honda unveiled the XBlade 160cc bike at the Auto Expo 2018. Along with several other updated 2018 models of its motorcycles, the Activa 5G automatic scooter was also introduced.
Honda claims the XBlade packs in segment-first features like an LED headlamp, a full LED tail lamp and a digital instrument cluster.
The bike boasts a 162.7 cc air cooled engine with 13.9 BHP of power and 13.9NM of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. With these figures, the XBlade will be competing against rivals like Pulsar and Gixxer in the market.
Honda has confirmed that the XBlade will be launched around March this year. The price is also expected to be revealed then.
The fifth generation Activa was the other highlight of the event, along with upgraded 2018 editions of the 110cc Livo, CAB Shine, and the CB Hornet 160.
The 2018 edition of the CBR250 packs an LED headlamp and a dual channel ABS while the CBR 650F gets an upgrade as well.
According to Autocar, Honda is planning to launch the X-Blade in India next month in March. Although the price has not been announced yet, it is said to come at a price of somewhere between Rs 80,000 to 85,000 (ex-showroom). The new X-Blade has been aimed at attracting young buyers and millennials, owing to its styling and design.
