Sony has ushered in a new series of headphones for the Indian market and it’s claiming to offer the next big thing in noise cancellation technology.
The company launched 4 headphones, the WI-1000X, WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X and the WH-H900N. Of the four, two are in-ear headphones.
For the ones confused with the nomenclature:
WI: Wireless in-ear
WH: Wireless headband
WF: Wireless freedom
All four headphones offer noise cancellation features and are compatible with ‘Headphones connect app’. They will be available for sale starting 14 December.
The WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X and WI-1000X support Sony’s own ‘Smart Listening by Adaptive Sound Control’ and also comes with atmospheric pressure optimising feature, which Sony says is a world first.
Sony’s Smart Sense technology helps stabilise the sound according to the environment the user is in. It utilises the mobile device’s accelerometer sensor to detect the user’s activity and adjust music and sound settings to best suit the environment.
