Samsung has revised the prices of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India after last year’s Galaxy S flagship model makes way for the Galaxy S9, which was recently launched in the country.

According to the new prices, Galaxy S8 will now cost you Rs 49,990, while the Galaxy S8+ can be yours for Rs 53,990. In addition to that, the South Korean brand has joined hands with various banks and Paytm to offer cashbacks of up to Rs 8,000, making the deal even sweet for you.

The Galaxy S8 was the first Galaxy S phone to get an 18:9 edge screen, with cameras stepping-up their low-light photo game than ever before.

Samsung has been smart enough to continue with a similar design on the S9 to what we saw on the S8. Same Gorilla Glass 5 protection, similar aluminium frame! It’s a classic case of ‘Control+C, Control+V’.

One thing that will get your attention is that the fingerprint sensor has now been moved below the rear camera (thank God), which means it’s much more easier to reach.

Performance-wise, you get the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S8 in India, with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. This hardware package ensures a smooth, lag-free experience on the phone, giving you quick access to anything you need.

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are also the first set of phones to pack in iris and fingerprint scanners. To use the former, register your Iris ID and then scan your iris every time you want to unlock the phone.

It’s rather customary for Samsung to slash the prices of its products, especially once their successors, ie Galaxy S9 series, make their way to the market this year.
