(The story has been updated with detailed pricing list for Galaxy S10 series in India)

Samsung has launched three variants of the S10, with the S10 Plus and S10 E sitting along side the main product and these will be available from first week of March in India, with prices starting from Rs 55,900.

These devices, and its features carry no surprises, with multiple leaks giving us everything there is to know about the phones. The S10 series goes up against the 2019 versions of the iPhone (probably XI) and Google’s Pixel 4 series among others.

The S10E 128GB variant has been priced at Rs 55,900, while the regular S10 gets a starting price tag of Rs 66,900. The bigger S10 Plus in 2019 will cost you Rs 73,900 for the base variant.

Samsung India Prices:

  • Galaxy S10e - Rs 55,900
  • Galaxy S10 (128GB) - Rs 66,900
  • Galaxy S10 (512GB) - Rs 84,900
  • Galaxy S10+ (128GB) - Rs 73,900
  • Galaxy S10+ (512GB) - Rs 91,900
  • Galaxy S10+ (1TB) - Rs 1,17,900

These three phones get 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screens with resolutions higher than on the iPhone XS series. The phones, depending on your market, will get to choose between the Snapdragon 855 or the Exynos 9820 variant and as has been the case with earlier phones, India will get the latter processor.

The S10 E gets fingerprint on the side of the phone, while the S10 and S10 Plus are the first Samsung phones to sport in-display, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The phone’s base variant comes with 128GB storage, maxing out at a staggering 1TB (which is further expandable) and options of RAM this year go beyond 6GB and 8GB to 12GB, as we’d expected from the leaks earlier this month.

In terms of cameras, the S10 E packs dual rear cameras, and the other two get three cameras at the back; 12-megapixel wide dual pixel, 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel ultra wide camera.

On the front, both S10 E and S10 get a single sensor, while the S10 Plus gets an additional camera lens, for wider selfies, something that’s already available with the Pixel 3 series from Google.

And finally, the S10 E, S10 and S10 Plus come loaded with 3,100mAh, 3,400mAh and 4,100mAh batteries respectively. Samsung's wireless charging feature gets a big upgrade, now that you can wirelessly charge other devices, including Samsung’s own Galaxy buds.

This feature was first shown and launched by Huawei with the Mate 20 Pro and we expect other brands to follow suit later this year.
