South Korean tech giant Samsung has taken the smartphone camera to a whole new level with the launch of the world’s first smartphone to come with four cameras on the back dubbed the Galaxy A9.

The device was launched at a gala event in Malaysia and is due to be launched in India in November.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

It’s running on a Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 128GB internal storage that’s expandable. It also comes with RAM options of 6GB and 8GB.

The Galaxy A9 also features Samsung Pay and Bixby.

The major highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A9 is its vertically stacked four cameras consisting of an assembly of an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 24-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor at the back.

On the front, it sports a 24-megapixel shooter. That’s a total of 47-megapixels on a smartphone!

The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition support. For battery back-up it comes with a 3,800mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
