Smartphone maker Motorola has ushered in an array of smartphones in its G series, namely the Moto G6, G6 Plus and the Moto G6 Play.

It is very unlike Moto to keep things hush-hush, especially in a market such as India, wherein they expect to thrive.

The official announcement was made in Brazil, and the company said with these phones it was looking to focus on design, display and power.

Though there is no news on when the phone will come to India, we can expect the pricing for the Moto G6 Plus to be around Rs 24,000, while the G6 Play and G6 could be priced around Rs 13,000 and Rs 16,000, respectively.

The Moto G series wasn’t the only one hogging the limelight as Moto also introduced the E series in three variants, which are Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus and Moto E5 Play.

Among the three in the G series, the Moto G Plus is the king of the hill with a Full HD+ 5.93-inch display sporting a screen ratio of 18:9. The dual-SIM runs on a Snapdragon 630 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM. It also comes with a 12+5-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front snapper.

For back-up you have a 3,200-mAh battery, which supports Moto’s fast Turbo Charging technology.

For the G6 you get a Snapdragon 405 processor with 3GB RAM. It comes with a 5.7-inch screen and also supports dual-SIM. Optics wise, it comes with a 12+5-dual rear camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

The G Play on the other hand is the least specced device which has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Stock Android 8.0 Oreo is a standard on all the devices and the G6 Play octa-core Snapdragon 430 coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and microSD card support up to 128GB.

On the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash while on the front is an 8-megapixel sensor. Where the G6 Play leaves both its sister devices behind is the battery department with a 4,000mAh power back.

It’s only the G6 and the G6 Plus that come with a fingerprint scanner at the back while the G6 Play misses out on the same.
