It’s uncharted waters for Lenovo, but it’s willing to brave it out. I am talking about the wearables segment here. Yes, after laptops, tablets and smartphones, the Chinese tech giant is ready to venture into the fitness wearable segment with the launch of two new fitness bands, offered at very competitive prices!

Dubbed the HX03F Spectra, this wearable comes loaded with a bevy of features, and the price tag? Just Rs 2,299! Lenovo has also launched another budget variant called HX03 Cardio, priced at Rs 1,999.

Both the HX03F Spectra and the HX03 Cardio will be available starting 3 May and 24 April respectively.

Lenovo’s launch wasn’t all about fitness wearables as it also launched a smart weighing scale at the event. It is also looking to introduce car accessories like rear parking sensor, charging ports for cars, etc very soon. But, more on that later.

Let’s first talk about the more interesting of the two. The HX03F Spectra comes with a detachable strap, one side of which houses the USB port to charge the device. Design and material-wise, the HX03F Spectra’s strap doesn’t feel all that premium, but the OLED TFT display compensates amply for that.

What I really liked is that the HX03F Spectra offers IP68 waterproof and in this price bracket, this is almost gold dust. The band offers you the option to change between multiple watch faces and tracks multiple fitness activities, like various sports, and even tracks sleep.

A great bargain for Rs 2,299.

The HX03 Cardio is more of a budget offering, in direct competition with the likes of Mi Band and even the Fitrist from Intex. Feature-wise, it’s not as tech-laden as its sister device but still a very efficient fitness tracker. It comes with some thing Lenovo calls an intelligent alarm clock (still to test what’s so intelligent about it ).

Apart from that, it comes with 0.87-inch OLED display and an 80mAh Li-polymer battery.

Currently, the fitness trackers are available only in black colour variants, but Lenovo says there are more colours to come.
