Yamaha Motors Shows Growth of 44% in Domestic Sales

According to Yamaha, these figures have been achieved due to good sales numbers racked up by the Fascino & FZ series.

India Yamaha Motors have been having a good run in terms of sales, at least, that is what the numbers suggest. The company witnessed a growth of 44% in domestic sales in March 2016, as compared to the corresponding period last year.

According to the company, these numbers have been achieved thanks to their focus on expanding in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The Yamaha Fascino and the FZ series have contributed to the numbers.

Though the Indian two-wheeler market has seen a moderate growth of around 9% in the first quarter of 2016 as compared to the first quarter of last year, Yamaha has continued to ride the growth curve by marking a solid 47% sales growth during this period. Fuelled by Yamaha’s innovative customer contact programs and increasing reach, Yamaha closed the March 2016 sales figures with 60,032 units being sold.

The company sold 60,032 units in March 2016 as against 41,640 units sold in March last year in the domestic (including Nepal) market.
