UM Motorcycles to Exhibit Renegade Range at 2016 Delhi Auto Expo

The American automaker will start selling its bikes in India, which include the Renegade S and Renegade Commando.

The Quint was among the first ones to let you know that UM Motorcycles will be displaying the Renegade S at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The company has now announced that not just the Renegade S, but the complete Renegade series will be showcased.

UM Motorcycles will be attending the Delhi Auto Expo for the second time, having first showcased their bikes at the 2014 Expo.

What’s new this time around is that the company is not only coming back to showcase its model but will also be entering the Indian market. Yes, you read that right – the Renegade range will be available in India.

We are thrilled and excited to bring our world-class Renegade range of cruisers, which have been designed and customised for the Indian market. The Renegade series will give Indian buyers a taste of high quality, world class cruisers which are built to tackle the diverse Indian terrain with ease and finesse.

These bikes are powered by a 279 cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine which puts out 25 horsepower at 8,500 rpm, and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. This engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission.

The American automaker is launching its stores in India in alliance with UP-based Lohia Auto.
