While the world is busy figuring out what the future of automobiles hold and is investing millions of dollars in developing prototypes that could be the answer to the pollution concerns of the world, Mikael Kjellman has come out with something that, simply said, is awesome.
It’s a small bicycle-car that protects you from all kinds of weather and makes life so much easier for cyclists. Called ‘PodRide’, it has a small turning radius, a 60 kilometre range, 35 km/h top speed, the same seating height as a regular car, and room for baggage and trailer for towing!
It promises to be comfortable too with air suspension and padded seats. Powered by a 250 Watt crankshaft engine, the PodRide also has an air inlet along with headlamps and indicators. Although it is still in its prototype stage, it certainly looks exciting – a fun little thing to travel in for short journeys.
