Mercedes had made a promise to launch 15 models in 2015 and with the new A-Class, they have fulfilled it.
The German carmaker has launched the face-lifted version of its A-Class model range in petrol (A180) and diesel (A200 D) variants. The prices have been set at Rs 24.95 lakh and 25.95 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The new A-Class comes with updated exterior design that brings it up to date with the current Mercedes design language.
The car looks wider, thanks to the tailpipe trim integrated into the bumper and features four driving modes to choose from – Comfort, Sport, Eco and Individual.
Mercedes has also incorporated a Panoramic Sliding Sunroof which adjusts the angle of tilt automatically to suit the current vehicle speed, maintaining ventilation inside the car.
When it comes to safety, the A-Class is fully loaded. ESP, ASR (Acceleration Skid Control), ABS, Brake Assist System, Attention Assist, Hill Start Assist, Adaptive Brake Lights Flashing and six airbags make it one of the safest hatchbacks in the country.
