Suzuki Motorcycle India has now begun assembly of its flagship motorcycle – the Suzuki Hayabusa – at its assembly line in its plant in Gurgaon, Haryana.
The Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most renowned and cult motorcycles across the globe, and this following is more than evident among motorcycle fans in India as well.
The bike’s popularity in India gained momentum after Yash Raj’s movie Dhoom, which featured John Abraham on a nitro-powered Hayabusa.
The Suzuki Hayabusa will be imported as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kits and assembled at the same factory in Gurgaon where the entire SMIPL lineup is manufactured and assembled.
Nonetheless, the specifications of the motorcycle shall remain unchanged as compared to its CBU (Completely Built Up) counterpart which has been imported from Japan all these years.
The end consumer will definitely benefit from this move, as the Hayabusa was priced at Rs 15,95,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and will now be available at Rs 13,57,135 (Ex-showroom Delhi) from March 2016.
