The regular Audi Q7 is pretty fast in itself and does so while being a true blue SUV. A 0-100 km/h time of 7.1 seconds for an SUV is fast, but then again it might not be fast enough for some.
It looks like Audi knew this and has therefore come out with the SQ7. There’s not a lot of change on the outside, but there are some serious upgrades under the hood. The latest offering is now capable of going from 0-100 km/h in a mere 4.8 seconds!
Powered by a 4 litre V8, it churns out 435 horsepower and a whopping 900 Nm of torque, all this between 1000 and 3250 rpm. The SQ7 goes has a top speed of 250 km/h, faster than the regular Q7.
The SQ7 is clearly built for the power hungry, for those who always want to go just a little faster.
This feat has been achieved by three turbochargers that are connected to the engine to give it more punch. To keep the emission levels in control, the third turbo is electrically operated.
Now, don’t expect it to come to India anytime soon and when it does, be ready to pay a bomb for it.
