Ducati has always been associated with the term ‘superbike’. Super in the sense that they can do everything other bikes can, just faster and in style.
Ducati launched its 2016 line-up of motorbikes in Milan, at the Ducati World Premiere, and every one of those bikes will blow your mind.
Italians are the master creators of automobiles. Be it supercars or superbikes, they are always ahead of the game and Ducati is no different.
Usually, Ducati is associated with the colour red but now they are adding a new hue – yellow, which is the colour associated with the Ducati Scrambler Series.
As of now, Ducati has 4 bikes in its Scrambler range and the Scrambler Enduro was recently launched in India.
The already impressive Scrambler range has two new additions for 2016.
Flat Track Pro has been given the Termignoni exhaust which means the bike will sound wicked good. The yellow paint, small headlight fairing and a flat handlebar are what make this bike stand out as compared to other Scrambler models.
The second addition to the Scrambler series is what got our attention, as it might be exactly what India wants from Ducati.
The Sixty2 brings a fresh new feel to the series and is named after the year 1962, when Ducati launched the first Scrambler.
The bike sports an air-cooled 400cc, V-twin, two-valve per cylinder engine which means it will be cheaper as compared to other models and will still offer the performance of a Ducati.
This bike is powered by a 1200cc DVT engine that churns out 136 Nm of torque and 160 bhp of power. It is designed to fulfill all your desires for an off-road trip.
It comes equipped with tons of modern day technology with the highlight being Vehicle Hold Control, which helps the motorcycle climb uphill from a standstill position.
You also get four riding modes to assist you – Touring, Enduro, Sport and Urban. All of which offer different kinds of performance.
The elder sibling to the Ducati 899 is here.
It is powered by a 955cc twin-cylinder Superquadro engine that produces 157 hp at 10,500 rpm and 107.4 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm mated to a six-speed transmission.
Simply put, it’s a really fast bike.
The Ducati XDiavel was the showstopper for many Ducati enthusiasts.
The highlight of this motorcycle, apart from its beautiful looks, is the performance numbers.
It is capable of giving out the maximum torque (129 Nm) at 5000 rpm. Powered by the 1262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine, it can produce 154 bhp of power.
With 220 kg dry weight, the bike is easy to handle and is set to rewrite the success story of the Ducati Diavel.
These 5 bikes certainly look impressive from all angles and it’s safe to say that Ducati will continue to be the first name that comes to mind when you think of superbikes.
