Tesla’s having a hard time fulfilling its commitment for delivery of Tesla Model 3 and other variants in its stable. And till that issue gets resolved, Elon Musk and Co are focusing on the support structure for their cars ie Superchargers.

These charging stations, unlike the standard ones, claim to juice up a Model 3 car with 80 percent of battery in half an hour. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed plans to install 10,000 Supercharger stations for his company's electric vehicles around the world by the end of 2019.

These stations are mostly going to service Tesla car owners in regions like the United States, China and parts of Europe for now. Tesla is installing Superchargers in urban areas where city dwellers and out-of-town visitors can easily charge.

The Tesla CEO even tweeted out his company’s ambition for the next 12 months, attaching a map of where the Supercharger stations are and will be available.

At present, there are 1,229 Supercharger stations across the world, with 9,623 Superchargers installed. These stations are placed at convenient locations like grocery stores, downtown districts and shopping centres, so charging fits seamlessly into your life.

Each year, Tesla Model S and Model X owners receive 400 kWh of free Supercharger credit, enough to drive about 1,610 km. Charging costs are approximate. Charging cost estimate assumes Supercharger cost of $0.26 per kWh.

Cost may vary depending on the vehicle location, configuration, battery age and condition, driving style and operation, and environmental and climate conditions.

Tesla cars have been a hot topic of discussion, be it for their limited availability or accidents that have questioned the role of semi-autonomous vehicles.
