Tata’s compact SUV Nexon has secured a four-star Global NCAP rating, in the first of its “Safer Cars For India” tests in 2018. The Nexon comes with front dual airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, ABS and ISOFIX child-seat mounts as standard. These features contributed to its strong rating. The car received four stars for adult occupant protection and three starts for child occupants.

The ISOFIX child seat anchor points help with child seat safety. The Nexon got three stars for child occupant protection.
Newer Tata cars have been doing fairly well at securing good crash test ratings. The Tata Zest, which was recently discontinued also secured a four-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. The Nexon and Zest share the same platform.
The Tata Nexon is available with petrol and diesel engine options, with a choice of manual and AMT gearboxes. Its prices start at Rs 6.15 lakh for the base petrol-manual and go all the way up to Rs 10.59 lakh for the diesel-AMT variant (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
