Suzuki Motors has launched the 2019 edition of its flagship motorcycle, the Suzuki Hayabusa at a starting price of Rs 13,74,364 (ex-showroom Delhi)
The Japanese bike maker has made certain cosmetic changes to the older variant and the new bike is being offered in two new colour schemes – Metallic Oort Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.
The graphics on the two-wheeler have been updated and a pair of side reflectors for Indian conditions have been added.
In terms of performance, the Suzuki Hayabusa is powered with 1340cc four stroke fuel injected liquid-cooled DOHC engine which pumps out 197 bhp at 9,500 rpm of power and 155 Nm of peak torque at 7,200 rpm.
The same engine has put Hayabusa as one of the fastest motorcycles on the planet with a top speed of more than 300 kmph. The bike is capable of going from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds.
The Hayabusa has been discontinued in the European market and won’t be available post December 31, 2018. The bike has been discontinued due to the fact that it no longer meets Euro 4 emission regulations.
Though, the Suzuki Hayabusa will continue to be sold in India and also the US. Most people in the country got hooked to the bike with movies like Dhoom, where actor John Abraham, also a bike aficionado, reprised the role of a robber riding the popular bike from Suzuki.
