In 2015, Land Rover launched the Discovery Sport HSE Luxury (5+2 seats) and we at The Quint bring you the review of this luxury SUV.
Being a replacement to the Iconic Freelander, the expectations were high – and it did not disappoint. The Land Rover Discovery Sport HSE is a car that has ample power to catapult you out of any terrain. It also has a foolproof off-road management system. But it’s a shame that with all that off-roading capability, it will still be driven in the city and in traffic. The interiors are luxurious and you feel at home in this one.
The Land Rover Discovery can handle any terrain. But there’s a lack of adrenaline rush as this SUV makes you feel safe all the time, event as it tackles the harshest of landscapes. The torque on demand makes it a peppy SUV that’ll remind you of your aunt’s terrier.
At a price point of Rs 62 lakh, the Discovery offers way more than the likes of Audi Q5 or the BMW X5.
The fuel efficiency on it is low, as expected, thanks to the monster engine and at times you do get a bit of body roll. But overall, this is the complete car and probably the only SUV you’ll ever need for the rest of your life.
