Uber has its work cut out if they’re to be the one-stop cab-hailing app solution in India. And for that, localising is the need of hour, which they seem to be doing in unique ways, which they say, has been demanded by users.
First things first, anyone can now book a cab via Uber and it doesn’t matter if they have the app on their phone, or not.
This could be a big game changer for Uber and give them the extra advantage of reaching beyond smartphone users. Anybody with a Uber app can book a cab for his/her friend or relative, pass on the details of the cab to them via SMS.
The person hailing the cab can pay the driver with cash once his journey is complete on the Uber.

Its rival in India, Ola has been rolling out slew of new services to ensure that their position in the market remains above Uber. But what this competition between Ola and Uber could offer is some happy days for the riders.
