Mercedes-Benz is one of the top players when you talk about the luxury segment, thanks to the success of the S-Class.
Currently, there are 8 variants of the S-Class available in the country, and the German automaker has launched the 9th one in the form of the S 400 at Rs 1.31 Crore (ex-showroom, Hyderabad)
The new offering is powered by a 3-litre V6 engine that comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and churns out 333 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. There is nothing new from the outside.
The car sports the same smooth, flowing lines, large chrome grille and all-LED headlamps as other offerings. It also sports a panoramic sunroof. From the inside, the S 400 has 7-colour ambient lighting and a 24 speaker, 1520 watt Burmester 3D surround sound system.
The launch of the S 400 comes after the recent unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard and is an attempt to offer more choices to potential buyers.
Their rivals BMW also recently came out with an all new 7-series, but as of now, Mercedes-Benz makes more sense in this segment as they have a large variety on offer, and honestly, looks better too.
