The sports car segment in India has a new arrival. German manufacturer Mercedes has launched the Mercedes-AMG GT S in India at Rs 2.4 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The car is sure to make all heads turn wherever it goes because it looks stunning. The long bonnet, large air inlets and the large radiator grille with the three-pointed star immediately make this car stand out of the crowd.

The GT S is powered by a handcrafted AMG 4 Litre V8 biturbo engine which churns out a whopping 510 Horsepower and 650 Nm of Torque. The engine is connected to an AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed transmission.

The performance figures are even more impressive. The car can go from a standstill to 100 km/h in a matter of 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 310 km/h. This is because the car is extremely lightweight. The chassis of the car weighs a mere 231 kilos.

The GT S sounds as good as it looks, and you can make it louder if you want. The car has adjustable exhaust flaps which allow the exhaust sound to be regulated according to the driver’s preference.

The driver also gets three driving modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.
