SUVs seem to be all the craze right now, and Maserati has joined the party with its own offering in the form of Levante.

Derived from the French word ‘Levant’, it means ‘rising’.

It might look great to some, but the company has only unveiled it as of now. This means that the details, including the price and engine specifications, are yet to be disclosed.

Levante will be launched on March 1, 2016, just before the Geneva Motor Show which begins on March 3.

The car sports the same design language followed in other Maserati models, which is evident by the three air vents on the front wings.

It is the front end of the car that catches all the attention, but by the time you get to the back, it may not look as exciting as compared to other high-end luxury SUVs.

What we know, as of now, is that the car will be available with petrol and diesel engine options, and will come with 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Maseratis look great and sound great too, but they cost a bomb. This one too could be priced at around the Porsche Cayenne and Jaguar F-Pace, which have comfortably established themselves in the segment.
