Honda Cars India (HCIL) has given their sub-4 metre sedan Amaze a facelift, to make it look more up to date with other offerings in the segment.
Major additions other than new exterior styling in the new Amaze is the offering of Dual SRS airbags as an add-on across all variants and the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
The company also announced that every new Honda that they launch from now on will have Dual SRS airbags as standard equipment across all variants.
In terms of styling, there’s a new front bumper design that complements the chrome grill and new tail lamp design. The interiors are now dual-tone and the Amaze now comes with Bluetooth connectivity.
Available in two engine options – a 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine, the Amaze has been launched with an introductory price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The facelift comes at a time when the likes of Ford Figo Aspire have been catching a lot of attention. It’ll be interesting to see whether sales of the Amaze will get a boost since a better-looking model has now entered the market.
