The Ford Mustang is one of the highest selling muscle cars in the world. The new car has some cosmetic changes, additional features, and a few mechanical upgrades as well. Let's check them out.
The difference between the new Mustang and the outgoing model is quite apparent from the front. The facelift features a lower, remodeled bonnet and front grille, and the hood vents are placed at a different position.
However, the biggest change is that the new Mustang comes with all-LED front lights, including signature lighting, low beams, turn signals, projector high beams and fog lamps.
From the side profile, the new Mustang and the outgoing model look almost identical. However, the facelift is being offered with 12 distinct alloy wheels and three new paint colours. It also features new MagneRide suspensions which offer improved ride control and handling.
At the rear, the LED taillights and the rear bumper have been revised. While the EcoBoost Mustang now gets dual-tip exhaust, the V8-powered Mustang GT gets a standard quad-tip exhaust. It also features an optional new spoiler and an active valve exhaust system.
The new car gets an optional heated steering for the first time ever. It also has an optional 12-inch all-digital LCD screen in the dashboard and a customizable digital instrument cluster.
The display can be personalised for Normal, Sport and Track modes. The new Mustang is also available with Ford SYNC Connect with FordPass, which allows the owners to start, lock, unlock and locate their car remotely through a smartphone app.
The interiors feel more premium thanks to additions like hand-stitched centre console wrap, padded knee bolsters and aluminium-finished door handles, rings and bezels. It also has a new key fob design and an updated Mustang badge on the instrument panel.
