After recently launching the TUV 300, Mahindra has upgraded it’s successful XUV 500 line-up.
The XUV 500 will now be available with a six-speed automatic transmission system, starting at Rs 15.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).
Mahindra’s cheetah-inspired SUV has sold more than 1.5 lakh units since it’s launch in September 2011. The car got a facelift and design improvements this year.
The six-speed automatic transmission system has been sourced from AISIN Japan.
The automatic transmission system will be available across three variants – W8 FWD and W10 FWD and AWD.
The FWD stands for Front Wheel Drive, which means the power is delivered from the engine to the front wheels of the car. In AWD, or All Wheel Drive, power is distributed among all four wheels of the car. The AWD variant will provide better performance both on- and off-road.
The Automatic XUV 500 variants will be available across Mahindra Dealerships from December 5, 2015.
