Audi has come out with the most powerful TT to ever come out of its stable at the the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. Available in both Coupe and Roadster variants, the new TT is one of the best Audis out there right now and get updates that make it very similar to it’s elder sibling, the Audi R8.

The car sports more angular and streamlined design language, most of which is visible at the front end of the car.

Powered by a newly developed five-cylinder 2.5 litre TFSI engine, the car generates 400 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque, which according to Audi, is a 17 percent increase as compared to the previous model. The engine comes connected to a seven-speed S-Tronic transmission and Quattro All-Wheel Drive (AWD).

All this power means that the TT RS Coupe can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and the Roadster does that sprint in 3.9 seconds. Top speed of these cars are electronically limited to 250 km/h, and can be increased to 280 km/h upon request.

The Roadster is capable of popping open the roof while driving at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

On the outside, the new TT RS has a new muscular front-end with large air inlets and has low-positioned spoiler and a fixed rear wing. The back end gets oval exhaust pipes, like other RS models and Matrix OLED tail lamps, a first for any Audi.

The interiors too have been updated with RS badging along with aluminium or carbon trim inserts. There’s a 12.3 inch infotainment screen that also displays information like tyre pressure, torque and g-forces being experienced by the driver.

Just like Audi’s flagship performance car – the R8 – the driver starts the engine directly from the steering wheel, a feature inspired by racing cars.

The seat belts have integrated microphones, so that you have a better voice quality while using hands-free.
