Harley-Davidson is known worldwide for making some of the best cruisers, and even if they aren’t the best, they do look fantastic.
The company has also had a loyal fan-following in India, and it has launched the Sportster 1200, the elder sibling of the Sportster 883, at Rs 8.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The bike is powered by an air-cooled, 1202 cc evolution engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), connected to a 5-speed transmission. The company claims that the engine can provide stable low-end torque, which basically means the bike offers acceleration even when you are not revving the engine a lot.
In the looks department, it gets ample chrome touches throughout the bike, along with black powder-coated engine and steel-laced wheels.
It also sports handlebar-mounted electronic cluster, engine diagnostics readout and gear indicator.
The Sportster 1200 Custom will be assembled at Harley’s facility in Bawal, Haryana.
