India’s Bajrang Punia (65kg) and Ravi Kumar Dahiya (57kg) are India’s only hope on Day 7 at the World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan. The duo will be fighting for bronze in their respective weight categories. While Bajrang will take on Talga Tumur Ochir of Mongolia, Ravi will face Reza Ahmadali Atrinagharchi.
Ravi Kumar washas been handed a 4-6 loss by the current world number 2 and reigning world champion, Zavur Uguev. Bajrang Punia was handed loss by Kazakh wrestler Daulet Niyazbekov in the semi finals.
Daulet Niyazbekov was declared the winner on the basis of the four points he had earned for one single manoeuvre in the first period of the bout, which was a controversial decision by the referees.
The bronze medal bouts will take place between 6:00-6:15 PM IST.
The bronze medal bouts will be played in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
