With few hours to go before ICC’s Tuesday, 23 April, deadline, West Indies is the only team which is yet to announce their squad for the upcoming World Cup in England.

The 15-man squad will be selected by the newly appointed interim selection panel headed by Robert Haynes, along with director of cricket Jimmy Adams and West Indies' newly appointed coach Floyd Reifer.

It is believed that Cricket West Indies will submit the 15-man squad to the ICC on Tuesday but will announce the squad only on 24 April in Barbados (1.30PM local time).

In all probability, Jason Holder will continue to lead the side for the World Cup. Senior pro Chris Gayle is almost confirmed to play his fifth World Cup after a successful comeback against England earlier this year.

The selectors need to answer a host of questions as Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine’s selection is concerned. Apart from this Marlon Samuels, who has recovered from his knee injury, will also be a topic of discussion.

The newly-elected Cricket West Indies chief Ricky Skerritt has said that the selectors will be looking at all available options for selection. Skerritt was also the manager of the West Indies team during the early 2000.
