After 45 league matches and over a month long of competitive cricket, the 2019 World Cup has finally reached its fag end, with the semifinals set to start on 9 July. India, Australia, England and New Zealand are the teams taking on each other for a place in the World Cup final.
England, who started their campaign with such authority, lost their momentum coming to the end of the league stage. They lost as many as three games and now find themselves on the third spot with 12 points.
Kane Williamson-led NZ who were unbeaten in their first in their first six games, lost their last three and finished at number four on the points table.
With the fans now awaiting for the playoffs, here are all the details regarding the knockout games.
The ICC World Cup 2019 will have two semifinal matches. The first semifinal between India and New Zealand will be played at Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday, 9 July. While the second semifinal between England and Australia will be played in at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Thursday, 11 July.
