World Cup Warm-Up: Bangladesh Opt to Bowl v India, Shankar Returns

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl against India in their second and final World Cup warm-up match.

India were put in to bat by Bangladesh after losing the toss in their second and final warm-up match of the ICC World Cup in Cardiff on Tuesday, 28 May.

While Kedar Jadhav is still recovering from the shoulder injury, all-rounder Vijay Shankar is back in the Indian team.

Openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan had to go off the field after just two balls being bowled due to rain.

Scan reports had revealed that Shankar had not sustained a fracture on his right forearm after being hit by net bowler Khaleel Ahmed during a training session on 24 May.

The Tamil Nadu all-rounder didn't take part in the first warm-up game that India lost to New Zealand by 6 wickets.

The Men in Blue will next be seen in action on 5 June when they take on South Africa in their WC campaign opener at Southampton.
