Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced their 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup to be played in England. Mashrafe Mortaza is set to lead the team whereas Shakib Al Hasan has been named as the Vice-Captain.
The squad was announced in a press conference at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium by the Chief selectors Minhajul Abedin and Habibul Bashar.
Bangladesh has also called back Shakib Al Hasan from the IPL to participate in the World Cup prepration camp which will start from 22 April.
The team will leave for UK early in May where they are set to play a tri-series.
Bangladesh will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on 2 June at The Kennington Oval, London.
