Lionel Messi announced his retirement from international football after Argentina lost to Chile in the Copa America final on Sunday.
The 29-year-old hung up his boots after becoming his country’s highest goal scorer with 55 goals during the Copa America tournament. He went past Gabriel Batistuta, who had 54 international goals to his name.
Messi, who made his debut in 2005, played 113 times for his country.
