Eight matches and five defeats this year and the Indian football team became one of the first squads to be eliminated from the running for a spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. That’s not all. Also in 2015, the Blue Tigers saw their international ranking drop to 173 - their worst ever.

All this in a country that spends three months in a year singing ‘Lets Football’ along with the likes of Roberto Carlos, Nicolas Anelka and Zico.
