UP Yoddha defeated defending champions Patna Pirates 46-41 in Ranchi in the 88th match of the 2017 Pro-Kabaddi League.

The match signals the end of the home leg for the Patna Pirates, in which they have registered four wins, one tie and one loss.

Despite the loss, the Pirates still sit atop the Zone B table, with 60 points from 17 matches. UP Yoddha, on the other hand, are third, having 43 points from 16 matches.

Yoddha's Nitin Tomar was star of the game with 16 raid points to his credit, and was adjudged the perfect raider of the match.

Patna Pirates' Pardeep Narwal, meanwhile, got 13 points.
