Twitter Reacts: Did Mel McLaughlin Ask Mark Waugh Out For a Drink?

Sports journalist Mel McLaughlin, who was in the spotlight a few days back when Chris Gayle asked her out for a drink, is in the news again for the wrong reasons.

This time, it was her who asked former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh out for a drink while he was on a panel, along with Kevin Pietersen in the post-match show after the Melbourne Renegades-Adelaide Strikers Big Bash League match.

Although Mel asked Mark Waugh for a drink apologetically after she referred to him as Damien Fleming, the journalist faced a lot flak on Twitter, since she was miffed when Chris Gayle asked her out.

Although, there were some who supported Mel.

Chris Gayle was fined A$10,000 for asking Mel out for a drink. But the two situations are clearly different.
