Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a source of some truly spectacular goals while playing in Europe. From his goal against England as the captain of Sweden to his free kicks for Paris Saint-Germain. The maverick Swede has scored all sorts of goals. But his 500th career goal was all kinds of special.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 500th worldwide goal Saturday night in Los Angeles Galaxy's 5-3 loss to Toronto FC. His acrobatic strike came from a long ball which he round-kicked to beat Alex Bono for his 17th of the season. In doing this, Zlatan, known for scoring the most outrageous goals, added one more to his collection.
LA Galaxy - Zlatan’s current team - released a short video celebrating his monumental achievement. The 36-year-old Swede joined Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only active players with 500 goals for club and international play, cutting the Galaxy's lead to 3-1 in the 43rd minute.
Zlatan has been one of the most consistent players over the past decades, winning a trophy with every club that he has played for. However, he is still looking to win his first trophy with the LA based club.
Here’s how Zlatan celebrated scoring 500 goals.
