Virat Kohli turned 31 on Tuesday, 5 November, and wishes poured in from all quarters for the ‘most important man in Indian cricket’.
The cricketing fraternity including former players and currently active ones posted birthday messages for the Indian captain.
Kohli, who was rested for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh, is celebrating his birthday in Bhutan along with wife and actor Anushka Sharma.
“Wishing you a very happy birthday Virat! Continue scoring runs and leading India with the same passion! All the best,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar in a tweet.
Veteran Virender Sehwag wrote, “May the ball always appear as big as this and may your batting always be like a F5 button, refresh everyone who is blessed to see it. Badalon ki tarah chaaye raho, hamesha khush raho”.
“Happy birthday mere chotte veer modern generations batting master, I wish you all the success on and off the field.. May waheguru continue to bless you with everything..stay happy and healthy,” wrote Harbhajan Singh.
Another legend VVS Laxman wrote, “Many more happy returns of the day dear Virat. Wishing you a great year full of happiness and sunshine! May you continue to set new benchmarks and experience ever more love and joy”.
Among his teammates, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha among others posted wishes for the Indian skipper.
