In a tweet shared on 22 August, The Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club announced that it would refund all fans who had bought tickets to the Trent Bridge Stadium for the final day of the third test match between England and India.

“All current ticket holders will be refunded & admission will be free on the gate with donations collected for charity,” the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club tweeted.

The development came after angry fans protested against the prices of the ticket as there was hardly any game left to watch. The hosts, England, were at 311 at the end of Day 4 of the match. Chasing a target of 521, they were just one wicket away from a heavy defeat on Day 5.
