Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has millions of fans – many who dream of seeing him one day, many who travel long distances to watch him play, and many who run onto the field to be able to meet him while a game is on.
Now imagine the hilarity that ensued when the wicketkeeper-batsman’s request was turned down by a kid! The incident took place during a charity football match in Mumbai, when the child started crying as Dhoni asked him, “Aaoge? (will you come)”.
Just as he got the hint of the disapproval, an amused Dhoni walked away from the unhappy little child.
Dhoni is set to play two T20Is followed by five One Day Internationals against Australia at home. India axed Dinesh Karthik from the one-day squad, giving Rishabh Pant the nod of approval for what is their last assignment ahead of the ICC World Cup in May.
