Dattu Bhoknal Fails to Advance to Semi-Finals in Men’s Sculls

Indian rower Dattu Baban Bhoknal was eliminated in the quartefinal of the Men’s Single Sculls after finishing fourth. Baban finished with a time of 6:59.89 seconds —15 seconds behind the winner Damir Martin of Croatia

The lone Indian at the sculls event was placed third for the first 500 meters of race but dropped to fourth spot later and failed to make the cut to the semifinal. Croatia’s Damir Martin finished first with 6:44.44 minutes followed by Britain’s Alan Campbell (6:49.41 minutes) and Poland’s Natan Wegrzycki-Szymczyk (6:53.52 minutes).

Bhokanal entered the quarterfinals of the Men’s Single Sculls after finishing third in his qualifying round of the Rio Olympics on Saturday.
