Shikhar Dhawan completed his 17th ODI ton and his first in this edition of the ICC World Cup against Australia at The Oval on Sunday, 9 June. After winning the toss, skipper Virat Kohli opted to bat first on a batting friendly track and the Indian openers cashed in on the opportunity.
Rohit and Dhawan added 127 for the first wicket as the Australian bowlers ran out of ideas to dismiss the duo. After Rohit’s dismissal on 57, Indian skipper Virat Kohli joined him at the wicket.

Meanwhile, Twitter congratulated the Indian left-handed opener on getting to his third World Cup ton. Here is what they said.
