The Amicus Curiae, Gopal Subramanium, in the ongoing litigation between the Lodha committee and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), said that the Indian cricket board’s president Anurag Thakur committed perjury in the case.
Thakur asked the ICC chairman to write a letter to BCCI saying that the Supreme Court order on the BCCI-Lodha case is like a government intervention.
The Supreme Court on Thursday heard the Lodha panel's third status report, which asked for the dismissal of the top brass of the BCCI for not complying with the Lodha recommendations.
The bench has directed the BCCI to file a list of nominees who could take over the existing administration within one week.
The final order on the perjury allegation against Anurag Thakur will be given on 3 January. The court will be on winter break until then.
